I took my Landrover Defender 90 to Sam on the recommendation of my 4×4 Specialist garage to have a new rear cross member fitted. For those who have this car you will know there will come a point when this needs doing and it was certainly something I would not entertain doing myself. Sam took the time to walk me through the work he would undertake, what was involved etc. and put my mind at ease Furthermore I also asked Sam to sort out the rear bumper (new powder coating) and to waxoyl the whole chassis. Upon receipt of my car I was amazed at the job he had done. All looked fantastic and almost like a new vehicle. Just got my Mondeo back from S H Bodyworks, had the bonnet and front bumper resprayed, the paint on the bonnet had gone dead, think the previous owner had used something dodgy in the screen wash and the bumper had paint cracks from having had an encounter with a large deer. The paint work and colour match for a 10 year old car is just astonishing, I just can’t define the new from the old, super workmanship. Initially recommended to me by a work colleague, with more positive comments by 3 other people, asked SH Bodyworks to carry out some repairs which included two really awkward dents in the boot lid, and having to re-spray and match a nightmarish 3 stage paint that even the manufacturer struggled to do during production. Have a confession to make I first went to a well known advertised wheel place in the next area to yours, not too local.  And their attitude was completely different from yours.  When I stated this was an insurance job they straight away were not interested and pushed me off by saying it’s something you’ll have to deal with dear.  Not the kind of attitude I expect from any business and certainly not one I was prepared to deal with.  I next ended up at a tyre place half a mile down the road from you, the guy there was very helpful by saying that he doesn’t actually do insurance jobs but he knows a place and gave me directions to you. (Something any business should be prepared to do and I thank him for that).  I found your business and it was like the old saying the difference between chalk and cheese.  Some of your first words were, come into my office and we’ll sort it out for you.  Then you asked for the details and phoned the insurance company who told you, you had to take photograph of the car wheels, which you then took and e-mail to the company who then gave us a code number which meant you could start the work.  Sometime later when I was at home you phone me again to tell me that in taking one of the tires off there was a carbuncle on the side and that the tyre may need replacing sooner or later I thank you for the information.  A couple of days later you phone me again to tell me that in replacing the tire on the now finished wheels, the carbuncle had grown in size and unfortunately it would need replacing as it was now dangerous, but that you had already, phoned the insurance company which had given you permission to replace the wheel at their cost.  On collecting my vehicle I also found you had washed it as well.  What can one say of a small company with these kind of ethics.  Except.  (Well Done and bravo sir, your a credit to all business) In signing of, I’d just like to thank, Sam, Sam the very nice man (Sorry about that Sam it just came out) Yours in appreciation T.W. Took my SLK to Sam after some idoit in a carpark had hit the front bumper hard enough to split it and leave marks all down the corner and also damage one of the parking sensor mounts.!! (we all know what we would like to do to people that do this and just drive off!! Grrrr..!)

Now to the good part, not only does the front of my car look like new, Sam also took the time get me home and back when the car was done..! this sort of service goes above and beyond. No hidden costs (even though he also had to straighten the frame the bumper attaches too) and re-align the headlight, he fitted and removed the front several times to get the alignment just right (attention to detail).

As for price, well what can I say, more than fair. Will be going back soon to have a few minor scratches removed and the wheels diamond cut and more than likely have the brake calipers painted at the same time. 🙂 When you find a Gem like Sam and his team pass the word.  Thanks to all at S H Bodyworks. 🙂Darron Fooks

I had a huge crease on the side of my door as a result of my wife reversing into me. Sam took a look and was very honest and upfront and advised I required a new door. Sam sourced a door for me that needed a respray to match my current cars paint colour. Sam blended the colour into the back door and front wing. the work was absolute perfection. I have tried to see any evidence of a respray and failed. Sam also took out some minor blemishes on my wing mirror which was unexpected. Fantastic service, I took my car in on Monday and it was ready on Wednesday.
